CATALINA
YTURRALDE
Journey is a testament to the transformative power of pursuing one's passion and the resilience required to overcome challenges. Born in Colombia and raised in Venezuela, Catalina's early years were marked by diverse cultural influences. Her story unfolds as a narrative of determination, creativity, and a commitment to evolving personally and professionally.
Catalina initially ventured to the USA to study English, but it was in 1999 that she made a pivotal decision to follow her heart. Enrolling in the Art Institute, she embarked on a new career path as an interior designer. This marked a significant shift from her background as a stock broker assistant, showcasing her courage to embrace change and pursue her true calling.
Settling in Connecticut, Catalina completed her education and gained practical experience as an interior design assistant at Victoria Lyons Interiors. Her decision to obtain a real estate license opened new doors for her career. This additional credential expanded her services and deepened her understanding of houses, diverse styles, and her clients' preferences.
2014 Catalina faced another major transition when her family moved to Houston, Texas. Starting afresh, she immersed herself in the local design scene. Working as a designer at RH Houston and later as a senior designer at Design House, Catalina continued to hone her craft and build a reputation for her innovative approach.

2019 marked a turning point in her career when Catalina decided to venture out independently. Collaborating with builders on spec house designs, she showcased her creative prowess. The following year, amid the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Catalina took on her first minor renovation and full furnishing project. Simultaneously, she and her husband strategically moved by acquiring their first investment property, which Catalina transformed and successfully sold.
